Dave O'Brien
Dave O'Brien (born David Poole Fronabarger) was a star in "B" Westerns who later became a successful comedy writer (under the name David Barclay) and television director. O'Brien is notable as one of the relatively few success stories to emerge out of the drek of poverty row, where he worked for nearly a decade before landing work, and gaining mainstream popularity, in Pete Smith's series of comedic novelty shorts at MGM.
