Costume Designers Guild Awards Put ‘Bohemian Rhapsody,’ ‘Aquaman,’ ‘The Favourite’ on the Best-Dressed List

The Costume Designers Guild has nominated 15 different movies for the 21st Costume Designers Guild Awards, singling out two films about the Stuart line of English monarchs, two based in the rock and funk of the 1970s, three about superheroes and others about Abba-singing lovers, female thieves and crazy rich Asians.In the CDGA’s Excellence in Period Film category, the nominees are “BlacKkKlansman,” “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “The Favourite,” “Mary Poppins Returns” and “Mary Queen of Scots.”In Excellence in Sci-Fi/Fantasy Film, the guild nominated “Aquaman,” “Avengers: Infinity War,” “Black Panther,” “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms” and “A Wrinkle in Time.”And in Excellence in Contemporary Film, the nominees are “Crazy Rich Asians,” “Mamma Mia!
