In 2007, Rain auditioned for Star Camp, a Nickelodeon reality show . Rain was chosen to join the show and its subsequent music project, The Giggle Club. The band disbanded shortly after the series' finale. Shortly afterwards, The Giggle Club's producer Nick Cannon worked with Rain on a solo career.
